Can we please be honest for once. The population of California has doubled since 1997, and if the medical 911 calls have doubled so have the taxes to pay for the 911 services. This is all bullshit. Someone is getting rich off tax payers and should be sitting in jail.

I think it is GOOD!! Waaaay too many people are calling 911 when in fact they are NOT in anything remotely close to a life or death situation. Maybe now people will stop expecting 911 to Babysit them and their petty issues.

Tax payers should not have to pay for individual's 911 calls. Let the end user pay for it.

This is just a money grab by the cities who do this type of fee. The fire department's won't say anything against the fees because they benefit also.

Since most fireman in Orange County are actually part – time 'firemen' at best, cut their salaries and benefits packages to cover the increase in costs. Let's see how many of them would be willing to do that… Absolutely crazy that people are being billed by any municipality considering the ungodly high taxes in CA!
